I haven't updated this blog in forever! I'm getting back on here though to update more as much as i can.
God has been doing amazing things in my life, it literally blow my mind away. About 2 months ago i found out i was accepted to the Bible Institute i was planning to attend starting in the fall. It was like a God thing cuz i was going through a tough time, having to make a hard decision and i got a call from them when i wasn't supposed to hear from them for at least another 2 weeks. So i was like "Ok God i knew i made the right decision because you opened another door for me." Then about 2 weeks later someone was speaking at my church about missions and what they had been doing in Africa with the kids and such. I was like, wow! Like i was planning to go to college for one year of Bible because i really didn't know what to do. I love kids so i knew i would want to work with them some how because i do so much teaching (gymnastics and swimming).
After seeing the pictures of these kids, who had so little but the joy in there eyes because they had one thing that kept them going each day, Jesus! I wanted to see that, i wanted to help them! I decided right after church that God was calling me into missions. I have always had like a little tug at my heart for it but always pushed it aside. God gave that tug a tighter pull and i couldn't ignore it anymore. I was super excited!
I knew of a missions trip going to the Dominican Republic but i figured it would be too late to join. I did some calling and found out it wasn't. I have never been so excited! The trip is the 16th - 26th of February so only a couple of more weeks!
I was worried about the money because i had started later then everyone else. Well lets just say when we give it to God and trust Him, He will do amazing things. He has provided for this trip in ways i can't even believe! I have raised almost double the amount of what i needed! God has blessed me so much, it's made me cry! We serve such an amazing God!
Never doubt for one second God can't do something! Trust Him and have faith!
